Music Production
Teaching team: Stephen Good
Our Foundation year students ended the year with their first full song production. Students applied all the Music Theory, Music Technology and Production skills in writing and producing a song based upon their analysed reference tracks. This year students produced songs in a diverse range of styles including Hip Hop, Drum and Bass and Dub Step.
Sound and Media
Teaching team: Dan Beck and Elaine Thomazi-Freitas
This module brings together Foundation year students from Music Production and Film & TV Production. Working on a third-party video support, the sound component is the only aspect the student has to work with at this stage, with their accurate synchronisation with the visual part, to demonstrate all the skills developed over the entire year. The works here selected showcase a collaborative Video Art project bringing together students from the different cohorts, and two individual projects in Sound Design and Video Art.
